When I first got to the UK I found a church near my flat that advertised a local choir that used the church for rehearsals. I was excited about the prospect of joining a local choir and after 1 rehearsal I decided to join. The choir caters to all singing levels and despite my frustrations at not getting sheet music to read, I still enjoyed the chance to sing in a choir again. Lloyd was very encouraging of my new hobby, but mostly because it's the only 2hrs per week that he has all to himself!
It's really true when people say that music is an international language, because there is so much diversity in my choir with all sorts of different accents & dialects joining together to sing beautiful songs.
Below are some youtube videos of my choir concert that Lloyd graciously filmed for me. Enjoy!
Bele Mama & Wimmoweh
Ya Basta & Christmas songs
Happy Together
Darkness on the Delta
