Jen & Barry's Boat Party

In July, to celebrate Barry & Jen's birthdays, we got together 30 of our friends and went on a Thames River Disco Cruise!  Everyone got to dress up and we had perfect weather - blue skies and warm enough to go 'jumper'-free!  The party goers were a mix of the Watford Crew, the Australians, and the Saffa's, a very multi-cultural group! Here are some pictures of our party on a beautiful, London summer night.

Girls! One of our friends brought a friend of his who was in town and she told me about how she was in a masters program in Texas a few years ago.  Then she told us she lived in Denton, and went to UNT!  I was totally blown away (she was an Australian, after all...) and she, Barry, Jamie and I had fun reminiscing about all our old Denton haunts. Small world!

We had a really beautiful sunset and all the historical buildings on the Thames looked so pretty as we cruised along.

What a great evening spending time with great friends & family!  A beautiful London night...made even better since the sun went down at 10pm!  That's one of my favorite parts of a London Summer - the super-long daylight hours!  I'll definitely be remembering this one in winter when it is freezing and dark at 3pm!
